Steam or retail. One would naturally go for the cheapest offer he could find, however if you find yourself in a disc drive deficit you may want to op for steam.

Steam does not require patching, but mods can be a slight issue as the launcher is bugged. If you do get it, then search for the alternate launcher on the steam forums and you will find it.

I think you should buy a disc. Installing mods in Steam can sometimes be really annoying
