    Default Is it justified?

Recently I was playing my campaign and I was invading greece and iberian north at the same time.So I ended my turn and 3 gaul stacks in succesion attack my Elite army and 2 gaul stacks attack my other army at once.
So that was 4 battles.I fought of the gauls quite easily only losing about less then 100 men in total, all hastati.
And vs the germans I had some trouble and lost about 250.But then something happened and in greece some of town watches and some other infantry were sitting in the middle of greece cuz I was transporting them to guard the other town I got there. So they get attacked after I already did those battles with germans and gauls.Since they were heavily outnumbered I retreat and they end up near my town with my other elite stack with flavius julius.Greece attacks again and due to unknown reasons they automatically captured the town with no fight and my elite stack and faction leader dead.I was pretty pissed and I reloaded. And I had to play all of the battles again. And when I previously played I had all heroic victories.I really didn't want to play them again so I prepared a single unit since my casualties were almost no existent and auto_won those stacks.

So my question is,is it justified to cheat in such a situation?Or should have I just let it go and ditch the invasion of greece?

    I know that frustration...
But then I learned that it is possible to save inbetween battles
Just press ESC as usual to bring up the menu when you're on the pre-battle screen where you can assess the enemy and choose to fight/retreat etc.
Don't forget to apply the script aswell if you load inbetween battles.

If you ask me and you want to play hardcore, its justified and necessary. Setbacks are GREAT. You have to love the challenge. Also, I guess you have press retreat. That can somehow kill your army and reinforcing army too. WHich is weird, but do not do it. Rather fight it out, stand up for it!

    Ie, no reloads.

Cze, reason for saving inbetween battles is that if you get a crash, you won't have to fight all battles during an end turn, only the last battle that crashed.
Setbacks due to the players poor decisions or performance is one thing, but flaws in the engine and technical problems is another.
These saves however are only for the previous mentioned purpose. If you fight a bad battle you'll need to live with it and shouldn't reload.

Some people don't have unlimited time, and refighting 4-5 battles that you already fought really sucks.

Yes I know that part. I never save during AI turn thou and I tend to do as much battles as possible on my turn saving inbetween. I meant reloading on loss of battle for the win itself.
