Alright I've been trying the Scipii Imperial Campaign. The battles I'm winning fairly easy. My problem is about 25-35 turns into the game I always end up going into the red with my money. Any suggestions.

In early game, you should exterminate the first few large populous cities (unless you have a lot of cash). Set your taxes on very high for the start of your campaign. If you are smart in battles, use that to your advantage. Try to compose an army of around 5 Hastati, 2 velite, 2 FM, 2 Equites. That should carry you through Carthage (assuming you are playing M/M).
Don't exterminate Carthage unless it has a blue/red face. The more population, the more trade/tax income you receive.
Cry "Havoc!", and let slip the dogs of war.

Hi there.
As Scipii you should focus on economics early on. After conquring Sicily, you have the needed military instalations for the near-future campaigns (all though you will have to split recruitment of specific units to different cities, and shipping them to and from to create armies), so focus on economic infrastructure. A nother trick is to try to beat the Jullii to Sardinia. The extra port gives extra denarii. Scipii are hugely dependent on trade, especially sea trade. Your focus areas of domination should be Iberia (before the Julii gains a foothold) and Northern Africa. After that, you are fairly free to go where ever you want, just get there before the other Romans.
After economics, the Scipii should focus on happyness and health, as the Carthaginian areas (and southern Iberia) are rather difficult to control.
Godd luck.
After securing Sicily, your first move is to send an army to Rhodes. The colossus boost your sea-trade -which will we your main source of income - by 30%. Now you should capture Caralis, and maybe you could try to take the mainland of greece before the brutii - I.e. Corinth, Sparta, Athens. They boost your economy as they are rich cities, and the statue gives you a +4% loyality bonus. The brutii will then expand to Thrace, guarding the borders of your three cities very well.
A few more economic tricks: Scipii are dependant on Sea trade. This means that cities with ports have priority, and you should always build ports/upgrade them whenever possible.
I always start disbanding en masse, I believe that you should disband more costly units that are on guard duty and replace with town watch disband all mercinaries not on active duty.
Here's an update. I'm now the proud owner of Sicily I've taken Halicarnassass and Kydonia from Rebels. I'm going to use them as jump-off points to take Rhodes. Treasury is 26,000 and growing!!!! Thanks for the tips.
To go off topic with a finished thread, I was playing as Macedon the other day and the Scipii AI got a peace treaty with Carthage AI.
I became neutral to rebels as Scipii.
Cry "Havoc!", and let slip the dogs of war.

A good tip at the start, is only build economic buildings and use your starting armies to conquer settlements.
