    Default ctd during AI turn and afterbattle loading screen

    I continously experience two ctds while playing Sicily in DLv 62 BB. During the AI turn (on average once every two turns) the game crashes, see the first log. Doe anyone have an idea why this happens? And how to fix this?

    The other ctd happens after I fought (and so far won) a battle (so far only once it did not appear), all of these battles were citysiege battles. See the second log. Doe anyone have an idea why this happens? And how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

    sorry i can't help you about this, but i can tell you 1 (obvious) thing, the AIturnlog you put doesn't give any information, so no one can say what error/problem it is... you need to create a more detailed log for this one, to do this you have to open DLV_ext.cfg file with notepad, find this part:
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    [log]
    to=logs/log.txt
    level = * error

    and change it to this

    [log]
    to=logs/log.txt
    #level = * error
    level = * trace

    there are 2 ways to create a log, with just error option, or a more detailed log with trace...
    you put a # in front of the option which you don't use

    after this you play the game again and replicate that ctd again (in the AI turn), and post the new log, which gives real information to find what's the problem by those who know this stuff... i'm not one of them btw... sorry...

    1, (AI Turns CTD) I suspect your game is not installed properly.

    2, (After siege CTD) I suspect you have a 64 bit OS and so short of modifying the .exe it's a bug your stuck with.

    To solve 1 read the install instructions and follow them.

    Solving 2 is not something that can be discussed on this site. It's illegal to modify the .exe and CA do not want us talking about it here at TWC.

    I'm working on your points Taiji, in the meantime here is the log of the AIturn ctd.

    Weird the attachment manager seems to be malfunctioning.

    ah.. it's 10.7 mb big... I'll compress it and put it up in a zip..

    Right, I reinstalled it twice, even downloaded DLV again, however it still crashes, so I doubt it is because I installed it incorrectly.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, the only DLV folder should be in SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods right? There should not be one in SEGA\Medieval II Total War?

    The reason I'm asking this is because the patch should be directed at SEGA\Medieval II Total War and then automatically installs in games/med2/mods/DLV_ext? One time I don't know what happened but I ended up with a DLV folder in games/med2. I wonder if there should be a DLV folder there, because if it should I am actually doing something wrong...

    @vipman I tought if you install kingdoms, at least one campaign, you need to keep everything in mods folder as well, my mistake. After kingdoms install, may you can delete everything from mods folder. But kingdoms needs to be installed to play dlv !? if he installed kingdoms, he should have something in mods folder by default!

    Turning off autosave resolved most of ctd's for me btw

    Not enough info yet to know if you followed the instructions for installing BB. Look at the instructions and confirm each point that's relevant to your OS or I can't help.
