I personally think that the Teutonic Order and Denmark have the better late units of the four...The last time I played as Denmark I was able to (After conquering Norse and Swedish territories) make my way south through the HRE and cut Europe in half and from there you can expand any way you want...With the Teutonic Order once you get control of the Baltic and the Hanseatic Guild your good to expand anywhere you choose... Every faction really has the potential to become a great Empire But Personally I enjoy playing with the Teutonic Order the most...

I would recommend trying Denmark. Once you have all the Norse territories you have a nice base of operations to launch invasions in 3 places. Either the rest of the Baltic, Europe, or jump over to the British Isles. Plus it looks cool when the Baltic and North Atlantic are your personal lake.

Norway is the most challenging. Denmark is very easy. TO is fairly easy once you figure out where to strike first. Scotland is easy and boring.
