Default The Curia, Ovation of Lucullus

Publius enters the Senate. He was proud of himself as he had succeeded in his campaign. He was wearing a crown of myrtle and a toga praetexta( a toga with purple stripes). In his hand were some other awards he had received, because of the successful campaign.
Many Senators stood up and applauded. Publius stepped in the middle of the Senate.
''I have brought honour and glory to Rome in these times. Our merchants may sail freely and don't have to be afraid of the Pirate scum.''
    Publius took a moment
''The Roman Navy has now showed to the world, that we control also the seas not only land. Rome has brought order and law to the islands of Cyprus and Crete.''
    Some Senators stood and applauded
''This Victory is not a great one, I know that. But I promise this to you Senators, that this is only the beginning. We have only started our journey. Rome will rise and rise. I promise the Senate to expand in Graecia et Asia and bring Roman Order and Law to the farthest borders in the east''
Most Senators stood and started applauding even stronger.

OOC: I don't know really much about Ovations . I hope this is similar to an Ovation

Lucius stood and applauded, a grin appearing across his face.

Well done, Publius. You have brought honor to the Republic by swiftly dispatching the pirate threat.

Lucius descended the marble steps so he could more easily talk to Lucullus without having to scream at him

And from this minor victory you will reach new, more prestigious commands. You have done more than most already. While we were toiling away in Spain you were advancing with no problems- this bit of good news in the east sustained us.
