Patch issue..

I have 2 different versions of Rome Total War one of them is the GOLD version and the other is the 3 Disk CD ROM version (from activision)

I installed patch 1.2 on the gold version which didn't work as it wouldn't start up. So I decided to uninstalled the GOLD version and get the Activision version.

I patched it to 1.1 no problems but.. I try and install 1.2 and gives me this error:

Is there a way to get rid of patches in anyway? or are they installed in another place? Its really starting to annoy me as I need 1.2 for the movie cam and the capture_video switches!

Would be great if someone could give me a hand in resolving this issue

You can go right to 1.3 from the first install and it have the movie cam and such.

Yes but unfortunately, the capture video switch isn't supported on any other patch except from 1.2.. :/

Either way you should be able to try direct patching to 1.2 without 1.1 so that may solve it.

when I unistalled the previous gold version which I installed patch 1.2 on :/ So there must be somewhere else is installed at..

Gold is automatically patched to 1.5.

and I patched it to 1.2 so that I could use the capture video switch which as I said, didn't work because it total war wouldnt start.

You can't patch backward... But anyway just use the three disk set and it should work.
