RodG 1.5 - Easy and painfree Installation

Hey Giganticus,

Here is the error log. I uninstalled mtw2 kingdoms and rodg then reinstalled, applied patches and bug fixes. I now have an error I can't find details of how to fix in the pages of the thread, but the log says it is the -116 age of character and 400 pop to low for a city error. I think you have addressed this already? I do not think this is the original error I had a problem with. I have been recieving errors on every combination of install, with several different torrents. I now have a 1.4 Call of Warhammer I intend to play as I it ran pretty smoothly for me previously to 1.5 rodg.

help please! i installed the mod via torrent and it wont run the campaign past turn 6, thats the farthest it let me go without crashing. help would be greatly appreciated because this is literally the best mod ive ever played!

Load the game and let it crash, then go into your medieval 2 directory and find the logs folder, and show us what's in the logs textfile M2TW.system.log.txt

dude do u live in nz or know anyone who knows how to download this mod who lives in nz cause it's pissing me off for not know how to actually download this huge ass mod with translations and fixes and needs a kingdom update. If you do just reply to this text, i'll actually willing to pay real money just to have this mod.

My log.
On turn 71 playing as nurgle. every time i end my turn i get that crash.
Dunno if it helps but last turn i got a event msg saying that chaos was invading the dwarf capital "i think"
It crashes most of the time on "Averlands" turn but sometimes on others past them.
PS-Got the mod off the torrent/installed patches in order and fixes.

when i looked in my log, it said the folder was empty, game still crashes anywhere from turn 4 to turn 7 so far, right when the turn is changing too

Cant edit posts yet:/ so have to start a new one.

So i loaded an earlyer nurgle save "turn 68" and have managed to get past the crash.
i kept my eye on averland to see what caused/changed this time around and found that the city "Pfungzig" had not been captured by the green tide
i remember reading that this city caused probs when sacked " i think"
So what can i do? never allow it to die?

I don't know what else to do! This is my first time posting on here. I am trying to install on Steam with a updated 1.5 vanilla Kingdoms, I installed RodG 1.5 and patched it, and finally i have installed Kingdoms Launcher and made a Cow tab, game will launch and then i get "Unspecified Error" i use windows 7 and read something about UAC and dont really know if that is what is keeping me from playing or what Other than that i have tried to troubleshoot everything and i just cant figure it out, just wondering if anyone on here could help me think outside the box! Hello, I'm playing the mod a few days now, and it runs fine, I had just two or three crashes in the campaign, but I could play on, when I have load the savegame.
But everytime I use the earthshaker cannon of the chaos dwarfs in a battle, the game crashes instantely. I have installed all the fixes. Is this a known problem?
Btw, thanks for the great effort, bringing this great mod in a good managable installation, Gigantus

Try re-installing the fix for the Earthshaker, again. Make sure it replaces the original file. Best idea is to go through the subfolders and copy the file over directly to be sure it's going into the right place, and not something silly like a data folder in the data folder.

I don't know what else to do! This is my first time posting on here. I had this error and I think the reason for this, for many of us, is that we are making a simple mistake. When installing gig's RoDG, you need to install all three parts of RoDG separately. Installing the 1st part only installs that one. Also, if you download and install the latest version of RODG, you don't have to install any of the patches. All of these are incorporated. In summary, install the latest RoDG, all three parts separately, and then play the game. I don't think you need to do anything else.

EDIT: Disregard above. I was completely wrong in writing the above. I had to install the mod, then patch and then each hotfix to RoDG to run.

I think the error related to this is the limited of 255 characters on foldernames. You might have to move your steam directory outside of Program Files. This is simple. Simply cut and paste your Steam directory from "program files (x86)" into the main c:\. Then go into steam, using windows explorer, and click on the steam.exe. Steam will reinstall (with all your games intact) in the main c:\.

You are installing into the wrong directory, see my red marking. You have to point the installer to the main directory, not the mod folder!
After that apply either this tool or this launcher.
