    That's a bit more then required (about one GB) but that could be save files - or the patch went into the wrong directory. If you have the time to spare I would suggest to redo the installation. To avoid future problems as well, proceed as follows:

    • Delete the Rage_of_dark_Gods folder
    • Run this tutorial from step 3 onward (it will solve\prevent related problems for the whole M2TW installation)
    • Re-install Rage of dark Gods, write down the path you are installing the first part into.
    • Make sure the remaining parts and the patch are installed into that path
    • Install the fixes

    Nope, doesn't seem to work. I tried the vanilla mod and it crashed as well. Could it be the windows 8 OS?

    Unfortunately I wouldn't know. What do you mean with 'vanilla' mod?

    I was referring to the normal 1.5 ver of CoW which is in russian. In any case, I managed to install yours on my window 7 desktop and it works perfectly! Sorry for the trouble and thanks again.

    No problem - one day we may find out if it really was windows8 that caused the problem.

    Please read the 'error reporting' section in the first post and then post back.

    So the games seems to be very good but i've encouter some CTD's until now...first one was when i've installe the game and it didn't worked but i've dl the game from here and now it works...until now

    I'm playing with Reikland in smt around ~25 and i'm sieging Blood Keep...i've sieged it for 7 turn and in the end garrison sally and i've won,after the battle CTD,i tough that i was beacuse i've played the battle...but it wasn't so

    I've loaded an older save(1-2 turns ago) and i've sieged it,use auto-resolve and won the battle but when i should have taken Blood Keep game CTD...so it wasn;t the battle who give CTD...actually it was the city.Can i solve this somehow?Or i have to leave Blood Keep in hand of Sylvannia forever...

    This is first time when smt like this happen...when i've sieged other citys it worked quite well...even on defending against the scripted armies of Orcs...

    [log]
    to = logs/M2TW.system.log.txt
    level = * trace
    #level = * error
    #file = game.script.* logs/pkh.script2.log.txt
    #file = game.script* logs/pkh.script.log.txt
    #file = game.script logs/pkh.scriptoutput.log.txt
    #file = ai.ltgd logs/pkh.ai.log.txt

    I think i've done smt wrong beacuse Medieval II Total War/logs is an empty folder...if u want i can upload my save game

    Everything is fine. Occasionally the log does not get generated, but not two times in a row. If you can recreate the error via a previous save then please do so.
    Compress the log before uploading, please.

    Ì've loaded the game again and this time AI haven't attacked me and i've conquered the city....but this time i've take out my Bright Wizzards and Witch Hunters from the army before ending turn....maybe they could have generated the CTD...idk...anyway i've taken the city without CTD...

    Thx for fast responding and trying to help me...+rep for that

    That's curious, I would have thought a problem with a unit would cause the crash at the start of battle. Maybe it was something connected to the unit like an ancillary trigger along the line of 'wizard kills x amount of enemies and gets super wand' and then the pic for the wand is in an invalid format.
    It may sound strange, but something like that has happened in another mod.

    Maybe the wizzards were the problem...when i played the battle by myself i've killed ~450 sylvannians with them...but that's weird cuz i've fight another battle(2-3 turns later) near Caroburg(spelling?) and i've killed again smt like 300+ and no CTD,but it was an open field battle...anyway now everything is all right and i haven't encounter anymore CTD except that one(wich was solved...somehow )

    That might actually confirm that it wasn't the wizards as such but an event that got triggered by them.

    Is there a way to disable autosave for this mod? The configuration file in the Rage of the Dark Gods doesnt have the "autosave" text.

    Add this line to the mod's CFG file in the [game] section:

    auto_save = 0

    I keep getting the "sigma preserve us"- error over and over. I get to play maybe 4-5 rounds, then the error pops up. It happens during the ai' turn after ive ended my turn. I play Gigantus' version, and i followed his every step in his easy and painfree installation guide (which it was ). I've installed and reinstalled several times but still i get "sigma preserve us, etc". I have also tried every tip and trick in the forums.

    Some help here would be mych appriciated.

    Here is my log.
