Gigantus, gromovnik's CTD related to Germanicus' AI it's for sure. Probably something wrong with unit labeling. I had similar CTD in TATW 3.1.
Siege engine CTD log (which I'm trying to remove) always end with "siege_engine_overlay.texture". It's happen only on XP and it seems that my fix doesn't help.
I had 2 ctds yesterday, but I don't give up in struggling it. Already have a new ideas

I also noticed that the english voices for the Tzeentch and Slaanesh generals use the Khorne general voices in the campaign map. Is that normal? It's a little odd starting a Tzeentch game only to hear "SKULLS" and "BLOOD" every time I select a general.
Odd you say? You simply don't hear when chaosits yelled "for France!"
Voicemod is WIP many voices appear in future.

Hello. First thanks again Gigantus and all the modders of the submods that included, for your work. You rock our warhammer fantasy world and give us hours of gaming pleasure!

Now 2 questions that i think i have not found in the thread.

Is the version compatible with 1.5(+hotfix) save games?
Also since the mod is ''renamed'', i suppose i can keep both this version with the original one installed?

    Thanks in advance!

Appreciation is always welcome. As to your questions:
    1. Unlikely, but worth a try - there are numerous 'fixes' and changes in this version
    2. You can keep both versions - one of the main reasons why I renamed the installation folder

With the last historic_events error corrected I think it's time for a full patch again. To 'flesh it out' I am going to reduce your siege engine textures: 5MB or 2048*2048 is simply too big, it should help with the performance. And while I am at it I'll check the other unit textures as well - the Minotaur's textures come to mind...

If you have enough skills could you remove references to all bump and normal maps textures in meshes of siege engines. I think it could overload video memory and cause ctd.

If all fails, then extract the attachment into the root of Rage of dark Gods, but you should try and fix the problem first.
I asked the exact same question in TATW and got the same answer. Bookmarked so I remember next time.

    The fix worked. Thanks again.

By Reduced you mean removed? Still crashing unfortunately, this error seems very complicated. But at least the "Unspecified error, game will now exit" is gone and replaced with something that has more fluff. Check the attachment below. Nice touch, love it.

Reduced as in 'reduced texture size' - that will require less memory.

Glad you like the new error message...

Gig, is patch 2 savegame compatible? Did you reduce all the textures' sizes already in this patch? I mean the really large ones like the Minotaurs? Thanks in advance.

Patch 2 should be save game compatible in so far that it will not negatively effect the save. I am just not sure if the changes to descr_faction_standings or EDB, EDU take effect without a new game, but chances are that they will be accepted.
So far I have only reduced the texture sizes in the siege_engines folder - unit_models will be a longer project.

    Edit:
    Just started with the project:

    377 files with more then 2MB each = 1177MB
Expected size after reduction = 220MB

Something went drastically wrong with your installation: it can't find the modeldb file.

Have you installed all 3 parts before applying the patches?

    Edit:
It works. It was my temporary abstractedness.

The DO files will be installed automatically, the EXE files will have to be installed manually (doesn't matter in which sequence), then redo the patches.
