Hi, I've been playing this game for a few weeks now. No real problems apart from installing but i sorted those out.

When i'm playing the game (Roman campaign), after a save-end-turn, or a re-opened saved game, it seems to crash and go back to desk top saying "Rome total war has stopped working, a problem forced the game to shut down. windows will let you know if a solution has been found".

It happens when i go,
Open game, continue campaign. Loading screen loads all the way in the loading bar. Then crashes.

I found a way round it before by saving lots of files every so often and keeping it going, but it's doing it again now.

not sure how to fix it or what really to do.
So if anyone could help that'll be awesome!

First of all - welcome to TWC.

Are you using an AUTOSAVE or QUICKSAVE file? There is a known problem with the routine that they use which can lead to a corrupt save. If you're not manually saving you will only have one save file and that will be corrupted.
