    Icon5 RC for vanilla M2TW?

    I've been trying to find a version of RC that would be compatible with vanilla M2TW, but alas, I've failed.
    Could anyone provide a link to the mod with installation instructions?

    Thanks in advance.

    Good news. PB started out his RR/RC days with M2. I happen to have a copy of an early version. I have to warn you, it's nowhere near as good as the current version, and M2 is nowhere near as good as Stainless Steel. I suggest getting the SS 6.2-based RR/RC Compilation or waiting a month or two for the 6.4-based version to be released. There are plenty of other mods to occupy you in the meantime.

    Oh, thanks a lot. I've been playing the newest Stainless Steel for some time now, I thought it already had Real Combat.

    Ugh. Sorry for double-posting, but I can't seem to locate an edit function.
    In the readme, what does this part: "Make sure you are running the game with --io.file_first if in the M2TW/data folder." mean? I'm fairly new to modding M2TW, so where should I add --io.file_first?

    You can only edit once you have 25 posts.

    SS since 6.3 has included RR/RC, but an older version (still newer than the one I posted, though). If you want top notch, wait for what Point Blank will release soon. The file I gave you is for Vanilla M2, not for SS.

    The file_first thing was meant to make the game recognize the changes made, or to use that file instead of the original one. I don't remember where you would have to add that, but if you're playing SS 6.4, don't worry about RR/RC anymore; you've got it.

    Uh, I meant that if I'm installing the version you uploaded for vanilla M2TW, am I supposed to add that line somewhere? Or if it's supposed to just recognise changes, would it be enough to start a new campaign?

    Here's what I found in my SS config file:

    [io]
    disable_file_cache = true
    file_first = true

    I don't know if it's necessary for the files I uploaded. They are all save-game compatible.

    Thanks for the answer, but at least I got it working with adding --io.file_first to the game's shortcut's target line.
