After this, my opinion changed.

Why is that? I never thought I'd be excited for the combination of modern warfare in a Total War system, but it looks very very good and I'm really curious to see how it pans out.

Probably are. I have years of experience in playing I Spy and I can see they hold their sabers like the officers do in ETW and NTW.

Yeah, the fife music is reused from NTW, but still a nice addition.

Looks good. But damn, what I wouldn't give to have that campaign map + 40 units in battles in shogun 2...

Well, this looks stunning. I really hope the Gameplay lives up to my expectations. One thing i do not understand is how the factions in FOTS work, so if you choose clan X can you still recruit "line" infantry and samurai as well?

I particularly like the expansion of the campaign map, I find that a really neat touch.

The whole ironclad thing kind of reminded me of the portrayals of Ancient Greek/Roman naval battles.

Quite sweet, I hope for some good ramming if Rome 2 comes out.

Anyone notice that when they show the city being developed the last two upgrades to the castle make a star fort? Confirms that high level castles will be more like star forts.

Anyway that all looks great. Only a month to go now.

Did i just see 4+ provinces in Hokkaido? Star Forts aside, there better be urban fighting...

I hope it won't be the ETW/NTW style star forts...
