Default Russian diplomat killed in Iraq

well... here is the irony... russians are in Iraq cos they actually support them... they are actually the only one supporting Iraq and they still killed russian diplomat? well... sorry, but i do not get it... why to kill only friend or anyone who is willing to talk to you? ... no offence, but Iraq people are just stupid or what? there is no logic in killing a diplomat that is on your side!?
i hope i didnt offence anyone, but it is so stupid, i dont even know why anyone is even willing to talk to them anylonger... if it was up to me, i would close all borders and never talk with them again. If they dont even want help and if they would kill inocent people all the time, i know i would never never ever want to have anything with them...
again i must apologize myself, but if you have different oppinion please share it with me/us. and in case you dont agree with me, dont take me too seriously =) lol

That's baloney. The Russians seemed to be diplomatically assisting Saddam in the end, but not the Iraqis as a whole. The idea that those presently in Iraq don't support the Iraqis is rather wrongheaded.

Perhaps what you meant to say was the Russians were supporting Baathists? Welcome to Iraq...

Because there are elements in Iraq that are pretty much insane and dont give a crap about "freeing" their country of the Americans/Brits or creating a future for its people. These are the same clowns who kidnap aid workers & construction workers, people who have no ties to US/Brit goverment and actually doing helpful things for the people, so you expecting sanity from the insane. Hell the nutjobs probably couldnt even tell the difference between a Russian and an American.

that is also a good point!
also every week or so i hear on radio or TV or i read in newspaper that some people were kiddnapped or killed and those people are usually reporters or tourists and people from organizations who want to help and businessmen... i cant see the logic to kill any of those people... i would understand if they would try to kill people who are responsible for anything bad that happen to Iraq, but even then i would neve excuse them for killing a man... killing an inocent man makes them (at least to me) world idiots, and i would never like to have anything to do with those people... =(

    We supported Saddam's Iraq.
I don't know the official Russian stance on the new and improved Republic of Iraq, or even if one exists.
And diplomats get killed in guerilla wars.
I'd assume he was a middle aged white man in a business suite.
Easy to mistake for American businessmen.
Or maybe he was killed by shrapnel from mortar fire, the insurgents firing into a crowd or a roadside bomb.
Since you provided no story (or if you did, your poor spelling obscured it) I can only assume he wasn't assassinated by special order.
Then again, that wouldn't surprise me either.

    lol, yes sorry my spelling...
maybe he wasnt assassinated by special order, but anyway, what is the point of killing anyone?.. even if he was just a tourist? it makes no sence if they do not watch out who they kill, they could kill their own leader that way or someone of their own lol...

I doubt they would accidentaly kill their own leader because I doubt their leader would be a white businessman type person.
An old, bearded Imam seems a more likely leader.

I think it's important to note that in a situation such as Iraq, regardless of allegiance, you stand a chance of dying in any number of circumstances.

The Russians did support Saddam to an extent, but do not think that they support insurgency groups- in fact it's very hard to open diplomatic channels because they are an almost entirely decentralised organisation, with no clear lines of leadership or communication channels.
