CTD!

Hello, guys. I'm having a CTD while loading the first battle against Hannibal so I can't play this mod!! Is there any way to fix this? Thank you.

If you're using alex.exe, and letting Hannibal attack you, it's a known issue with ambushes. There is a supposed fix for it, by replacing a formations file in the mod with an alternate, but I couldn't get it to work. The solution is to attack Hannibal yourself, or let it auto resolve if he attacks you.

Non-ambush battles don't seem to have that problem, nor does using the BI.exe.

This sort of thing should be in the FAQ or something.

What exactly is the issue, meaning does it happen with every ambush or only the first battle? If every ambush then shouldn't we not use alex.exe? From the small info about which version to use alex seems to be the one pointed at being "better" since it's less prone to error and better AI. But problems on huge setting with CTD from ambushes is a huge issue.

This issue was more than annoying and I was looking everywhere trying to figure it out.

Afaik it will be corrected in the next patch.
