A question and a problem

First, I have started a campaign as the Brutii, I have a simultaneous campaign going as Carthage (I've been playing that one much longer than my Brutii campaign, I control southern Italy as Carthage), and I keep being told by the senate to attack Carthaginian settlements and ports. I have strong ties to many Lebanese friends in real life, so I just plain refuse to harm Carthage, I actually went out of my way to become allied with them, kind of giving the senate the one finger salute

. Is there anything I can mod to make them stop asking me to attack Carthage?

Second, when I try to start up RTW, it loads the little square in the middle of the screen, but freezes up there. When I press ctrl+alt+delete, it shows up in the processes list, but not in the application list. It's a random problem, I've been unable to find the culprit, but it takes a few times to get it to start when it does occur. It even happens when I start RTW from the autoplay menu. Also, will the English version of RTW : BI work with the Polish version of RTW?

Edit : A bit more info on the second problem - I have the shortcut in a folder on my desktop, and when I keep that folder open after starting RTW (like I do with most programs) RTW seems to start without a problem.

i dont think an english version will work with a polish versions becasue the files will be written in a diffrent language and it might not work, the senate problem is ust ignore them and try and get the people to like you, then when yo can attack them and show them what it means to be on the end of yor sword, the problem starting up i cant help you there, yo cold try and uninstall then install again and copy yor saves folder into another folder so yo can put those back in after reinstalling

Well if you dont want to do a Senate mission, then dont do it. I know it can get annoyying when the repeatedly ask you, but just dont do it. But you might want to build up your forces well, because the more you defy the Senate the closer you get to civil war.

Well, it might just be a random bug, unless it happens often. What version of RTW do you have, and do you have any mods installed?
I dont know anything about the languages.

I'm not entirely sure how to check what version I have, and I just have the unlock all factions mod installed. I have the problem whenever I close down the folder I have it in, but the strange this is it also works when I close down the folder as well.

When you run RTW go to options menu, then at the top it will tell you what version you have. But from the sound of it you may just have 1.0 or 1.2 installed.
