Default Revolt in my Danish Settlements

    Hi everyone,

So I was just wondering if something that just happened to me was a feature I missed, and if so what's mechanic behind it.

Playing as a Norwegian dude on turn 100 or so. Finally managed to kick the Danish ou of the top "isles", let's call them like that. They still survive around on the shores close. So at this point, 3 of my settlements start having some unrest traits, and a LOT of unrest for no apparent reason. After 3 turns, one of those 3 settlements suddenly switch back to the Danish whilst popping a good lot of units.

So I'm taking people aren't happy they go back to there former leader, what is bugging me is that said settlement has been my property for over 40 turns and that one of the 3 affected has never been to any other hands than mines.

Anyway if anyone has any explanations it would be great!
    Thanks!

Spies, bad norwegian leader and no authority. Watch the tax rate too. Mine are always low for fast development.

The founding faction for them must be Denmark, so the settlement reverted to Denmark.

I am pretty sure a region will only revolt back to a faction it was a core region of. However poor authority or bad traits on a faction leader can cause huge unrest as well as spies and heresy.

    All right thanks guys,

It was indeed a core settlement of the Danemark and I could believe into the spies theory. As far as my king goes, authority is at maximum and tax were low almost all the time on that city, there was never any happinness problems or whatsoever, there was just simply nothing I could do, it went up in a few turns.

Also forgot to mention I am playing on Gryms Mod IV I believe, the most complex one.

I think BGR 5 is out now, for people who've lost their will to live. Or who want to lose it.

Plant your own spies in the settlement, to help root out the infiltrators.

Whatever a "core" region is defined as, it can't be only the starting settlements of a faction, as I've seen Belgrade go from the Byzantines back to the Hungarians. Several times. In the same game. Stupid AI who can't garrison properly.

You could teach them a lesson.
After they revolt, re-invade the place and slaghter everyone, twice if neccesary.
I brought a large city down to about 1000 residents before. They finally got the message

Yeah that's what I eventually did, still a pain when you are fighting far from there and short on money .
