Eastern Mediteranean and Italy Mod idea

I dont know if its been done before or been mentioned but i think it would be an enjoyable campaign. Build a map that covers as far north as the Italian Alps, far west as Milan/Genoa, covers the Byzantine Empire and to the Holy Land, Anantolia, Egypt Etc.. kinda like this.http://www.mediterraneansailing.info...map%20OPAL.jpg

In the year 1080 Sicily was a rising power who shattered a Byzantine army and destroyed the Venetian navy. In Vanilla they're in poor lands and not represented as they should be. I feel as if this particular area and time period has a lot of options for a campaign.

Tsardoms covers almost that exact map you posted but it is set between 1345 and 1530.
