    Icon5 Few important questions

    Hello everyone!
As I am quite new to this forum (as registered member; I've red a lot in here, before joining you all) I expect some understanding from you Also keep in mind English is not my native language, so please try to be supportive instead of being rude and unpleasant. Thanks in advance.

So... let me introduce you to things that bother me
    1. Is it possible to change unit statistics in already installed mod(SS ofc)? I am Polish and I've been thaught that Polish Hussars wielded the most powerfull charge in cavalry history (I am not sure if it's true, as there were no survivors to write about it ;p) and so my polish pride wishes to make Hussars more powerfull than Lancers(French) and I am intending to fullfil its needs. So - could you help me in that[last time I've tried to change charging power of this unit my whole game got broke and i had to reinstall it ]?

    2. Now something about tactics - what is the best castle/city formation in France? As it is my favourite faction to play with I am not really sure weather to convert some settlements or not. I am talking about starting (Late Era Capmaign) locations.

    3. Some game mechanics now - when I make up and alliance with faction we are both having war with and we both claim to attack marked faction, usually I am the only one to really attack it, while my alliance usually just minds it's own business and does not prove any willingness in supporting me, which is kind of annoying since their help is truely needed and expected. Do I do something wrong? Is there any way to force them to help me or something?

    4. Is there any way to reconcile destroyed factions? (Bcoz I've already destroyed England, HRE, and most mayor factions in general. Game isn't fun anymore as there is noone to stop me from conquering Europe :/)

Welcome to the forum, and don't worry, I've seen worse English.
    Regarding your questions:
    1. I guess you're talking about the famous Winged Hussars? They were indeed one of the finest cavalry units that ever existed, but I'm not sure they're identical with the Hussars in this game.
Anyway, changing unit stats is entirely possible and won't mess with your game (you must have made a mistake the last time, I have never had any problems after editing the EDU). This link should help you finding out what you have to change: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=221093

    2. I find the cities/castles ration in central Europe to be reasonably balanced, but I have never played a late campaign with France so I'm probably not the best judge.

    3. I know that problem and there isn't much you can do about it, I have never managed to make the AI attack a mutual enemy when I wanted it. I guess you'll have to watch the diplomacy screen and wait until they declare war on their own account.

    4. Yes, that is possible, but only by heavy scripting. Maybe there are some submods that have reemerging factions so I'd advise you to take a look in the submod section.

    1. Will do, sir. Thank you
    2. Understandable.

    4. Don't you think it would be awesome feature to have such a mod in SS 7.0 or later? Like the country totally destroyed is being able to get back to its borders and for instance making up alliance(with savior country) for few turns to get back on its feet? Here's my polish pride again - if there were no such a things in history, like getting back national independence, I'd prolly be writing this post in Russian -.-
Btw., this feature would add some more flexibility to the gameplay as we would be able to have much more influence in European history Awsome! (think im gonna add this to the suggestion section )

TATW has a submod compilation that allows reemerging and it works like this: If an ally of you is defeated (you must have been allied with the faction in question, otherwise it won't work) and you conquer their starting capital a full stack with a new faction leader (ally) and a diplomat (yours) spawn, which gives you the possibility of giving them their old capital back and they can have a fresh start.
Take a look at it: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...3#post10354453
Another feature lets them reemerge by themselves once their starting capital rebels against the conqueror: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...4#post10414984
