Default Of start date and Boromir's birthday

I'm not sure whether this is intentional or not, but I found an inconsistency between the mod and LotR lore.

The main campaign begins in 2980 TA, which is all fine and good. The problem is, Boromir was born in 2978 TA according to the wikia. If that's the case, then at the game start date he's a toddler, and Faramir hasn't even been born yet.

    Any explanation about this?

    no wikia equal no comprende?

than just make them turn into generals/heroes/epicleaders when they come of age.

Gondor needs a heir. Everyone knows about this, but Gondor needs a heir

What Mheadros said and a lot of people want to play with Boromir and Faramir because they play a big role in the movies, the inconcistency is that they didn't do that to Eomer too.
If you just put him in as a 2-year old he will get a random portrait and not his special model, this could be done by spawning him into the family tree but that won't guarantee his position as heir.

So why not just move the start date to 3000 TA instead?

The only downside is that Imrahil would then be 45, but aside from that there's no huge loss.

I dont get why people make a fuss about ages. The vast majority of characters in the mod is impossible to give the correct age anyway. It's better just to ignore it.

ok, i prefer the old steward Ecthelion( born 2886 and rule from 2953-2984) as Steward of Gondor and Denethor (born 2930 and rule from 2984-3019) as faction heir....

I'd like that to Danny, but many people want Boromir and Faramir from the start

I would also like Echtelion as Gondor's leader, but would there be a way to insure that Denethor (assuming he lives) has Boromir and Faramir?

One could make a script that spawns them, but they wouldn't be in the family tree IIRC

if i remember correct some version (surely not 3.0 and 3.1,think some older) of the game does exactly what i said, and i assume that a script that asks from the start of the game if u like Boro and Fara from the start or when they come of 16,isnt so hard to make... for me lore is a most, and think i am not alone at that...

Faramir, Boromir and Eomer those 3 should be in the game in the beginning it does not have to be exactly as te books says, it's a game, they did it for Faramir and his brother but it's a shame not for Eomer. We had this discussion many times already.

I agree with Danny. It's a LOTR mod, then it should be exactly like the book says. Anyway, it's fairly easy to make them spawn with the right portraits and battle models, but in that case they wouldn't be family members. Then Boro wouldn't become steward, which is a shame

You can spawn them in the family tree, you just don't know where.

They spawn as kids of the Faction leader and if the leader has already 4 kids he goes to the heir. If you give Ecthelion 3 more daughters and make Denethor, how is it called "Not able to make kids" via a trait, until Boromir and Faramir spawn.
