Each unit has an officer entry where you specify up to two officers iirc by their model name. This model is then taken from the modeldb in the same way the unit models is. So if you have unit Peasants and you want to have flag-bearer or some other special officer you put officer entry under soldier entry for example:

    soldier Peasants, 60, 0, 0.8
    officer Peasants_officer

And in modeldb you create the entry for Peasants_officer just like for the Peasants themselves linking the actual flag-bearer file which might be modified Peasants model file.

You need the models, and the animations, and then you can do as Resurrection suggests and add one as an officer.

    Ok, here's a easy(ish) way to do it ... 7 steps

    A. download a mod that have standard bearer (like say.. Stainless Steel)

    B. go into the mod's files, first go to the EDU and search "officers", locate the officers that are the standard bearer (in the case of SS it's somethign like northern/eastern_captain_early_flag )

    C. now go to it's BMDB file and search for that model (like search for northern_captian_early_flag)

    D. copy the entire entry of those lines and paste it on your own BMDB, make sure to adjust the number at the very top of the files that count model entries.

    E. look at that BMDB entry, it should note 3 file, a .mesh file and two .texture files, go find it in the mod's folder and move it to your folder.

    F. adjust the BMDB entry so that it correspond with the file's new position, or you could just put the files into the exact same named folder in your mod folder.

    G. add the officer line into your EDU's unit of choice.
