Default So why did they really push it back?

Pure speculation of course, but I am betting it wasn't done. Some part of the team working on it blew a deadline badly.

There is simply no way that some nebulous "problem with distribution" pushed it back two weeks - not for a download. A day or two, maybe even to the next business week I'd buy - barely - but not two weeks.

If were a bug/crash - they'd have released anyways and just patched it asap.

Who cares? Seriously. I doubt many people are that excited about this expansion anyways.

Most people are excited and waiting for MTW2...like me.

I'm just curious to see what people think. I'm one of the ones who is a bit bored at the moment, has no "new" game I want to leap to playing and isn't really excited by any of the mods that exist in a playable form right now. If they had gotten this out on time, I'd have bought it even if it was horrid.

    Theres dozens of reasons.

I seem to be that rare species of consumer who doesnt actualy question the reasons for every single thing CA does....

Nothing needs to be over analysed to the extent some people on these boards try and do.

Ca say they delayed it for distrobution problems? sounds fair.

Games companies need fans, they dont make them and keep them by lying to them.

Now, im not saying you should take anything and everything a games dev says as granted, but then again.. you shouldnt immeadiatly after hearing whatever they have said go into X-files mode.

It could also be that they've tried the game and wan't to make it more interesting.

What makes you think they pushed it back two weeks? I never saw an actual June 1st date quoted directly from CA/SEGA releases. Instead the announcement said "June." So anything before July 1 would still have been "on time."

More importantly, those who have been following this since the first info leaked out know that it slipped by three months, not two weeks.

A distribution delay was apparently part of the initial glitch months ago, although according to CA comments they had a lot more work to do before it was ready anyway. Yes, a distribution delay could set it back weeks quite easily--or even months.

I'm glad for any delays. I rejoyce and hug my monitor with glee.

Because any delays mean A MORE POLISHED PRODUCT.

I am sick and tired of companies just throwing everything out there before it is done. Which is more frustrating - a game that won't even install or play properly, or waiting a week? If they delayed it, good for them. They have the nads to take the heat and just work on a better and more appropriate product.

Yeah, I never saw a release date for this product. So, as of yet, it's not pushed back.

And I'm with Zuwxiv. There were some really obvious bugs in RTW and BI that I would have wanted fixed from the start, as there are in many games. Maybe some of these will be adressed now.

I completely agree. From what I've seen CA does have some serious polishing to do.

Hey honor & glory! i've only got one thing to say removed. this is the alexander expansion forum not a mtw2 forum. theirs a good amount of people who are excited about this expansion and good modders already working to make it even better.
