I was wondering about the possibility of a adding a new faction in Broken Crescent. I thought that the Principality of Antioch would be pretty neat. They were a great faction in the Kingdoms crusade campaign.

Antioch straddles vassal and state on multiple occasions and it would be difficult to call them a faction...theoretically.
judging by the 3.0 map it won't be possible: it's already crowded between the armenians, zengids and koj
This has been brought up and discussed ad nauseum, to borrow a phrase from those latins. It's not happening.
What's brilliant about the way the existing KoJ is implemented, is the way it's implemented as if it's multiple factions already. You have fragmented unit types, as if it is a small kingdom and a group of allied city states, which was usually how it was anyway. I'd like to see more development along this line for the KoJ, and in this light another faction is not missed nearly as much.
Moreover you have Armenia to play with which plays a similar role.
well I think they were added for the sake of balancin out the factions.... so u wont have 2 muslims vs 1 christian...
after all, the kingdom of jerusalem was a rather odd one, because its new and the dynasty is new as well.... the citties do pledge loyalty but they are kind of autonomous in terms of laws and such.... its much like the U.S.. at least for me lol....
u have different separate states that are autonomous from the government except in decisions considering federal security and such federal issues. Their police, militia or levies in BC case, are independent... the government head, jerusalem in BC, recruits volunteers or men into their ranks through those states.
theres no space... so little that the armenia icon actually covers the antioch region.
I think we don't need Armenia, Armenia sucks.
Oh, btw Armenia doesn't own city of Antioch.
And Wars of the Religion has Antioch.
Yeah, WoTR and BC are different.
Next time, don't triple post, just edit your own post.
Cilician Armenia was a ''more historical'' option.
Antioch didn't really live that long.
It did "live" for a pretty long time, long enough to count as a real city state faction in any game.
But the die are already cast on factions. Triple posting and saying other nations already in the game "suck" is the least productive way to get the BC team to reconsider...
I always loved to have those city states factions like Antioch and such. However, removing Armenia will have to be for a more persistent or convincing reason other than "sucks" lol...
maybe the modders could consider havin the hahshashin as a faction instead of Armenia (if no slots were available)
... btw is there any chance of seein hashashins in BC??
''I think we don't need Armenia, Armenia sucks.''
Now THAT is a well thought out counter-argument
And yes, antioch is still a rebel settlement but the region is already heavily crowded
The armenia description states that antioch became largely irrelevant after the armenians dealt them a crushing defeat, and the pope states in his Bull that none came more readily to the aid of the crusaders than the armenians of cilicia
There will be no more crusader factions.
