    Default New pics at Gamespot

Gamespot has added new screenshots. Some are original and some we have already seen.

Looks like CA's made their own blood mod... Interesting, I wonder if this will increase the ESRB rating (although I really don't care)?

That castle/fort thing...... im lost for words...

    That thing is just... wow...

Can you say bloodbath? damn that things gonna be a epic battle if theres a siege at it...

I only hope the AI treats it with the respect it deserves and sieges it with several stacks of troops... not just 5 infantry and a catapult....

Yea I've seen that screenie before too. That's about as tough as a siege gets! Just imagine if the castle has some bombard cannons aimed on that passage way. The first thing I am going to do when I find this map is to get some heavy armored french knights and ride down upon my attackers on the passageway like in helms deep. If the horses can push men off of a passageway and you get to see them fall to their deaths... That would be classic...

Its one thing saying you should be wary about the troop sizes...

    We all know that.

But the terrain wont change.... weve seen it ingame several times and its a lot better than RTW.

And to my knowledge, CA's never actualy lied about anything in a screenshot, its just that people are gullable and expect every match to be like the official screens.

Yes, they never actualy claimed thast the stuff in those screens would happen regularly or anything. But when you see an in game screenshot, you sort of expect it to be at least feasable to do in the game.

I can pretty safely say these are ingame screenshots, judging from what i've seen of the E3 gameplay shots of ingame demo being played by people. And you can play huge battles in RTW, you just need a very good pc.

The hoplite-legion battle is feasible. Haven't you ever seen what's his names screenshots? It was like PentiumRage or something like that. He made absurd battles and claimed they were relativley playable. He even posted screenshots as well.

In this case, huge battles will again be possible, but not really playable. Saying "don't get your hopes up" because you won't be able to run huge battles is like saying "don't get your hopes up" because you won't be able to play on max settings. They are showing us what can be done, not what we will be able to do. Same with graphic settings for other video games. Max settings are in the screens, not necessarily what we'll see.
