Eastern Factions?

The Cuman and Khwarezmian unit roster is quite lacking of any late-era units that can counter a western army.

Arrows just don't do much to Lancers or Gendarmes, and there are no pikes/stakes. Schiltrom is kind of meaningless against enemy artillery as well.

Spears (Dismounted Khagan) can't do much against plate armor, and the Royal Guard of Khwarezmians is good and all, but too uncommon, and Halberdiers/Obudshaers can fill the slots easily in a western faction.

Is there any mod out there for Eastern Faction Units, 6.4 to be precise.

I don't know about any mod that would suit your needs, sorry.

But I don't understand why you would fight the westerners on their terms. The Khwarez and Cuman units are not obsolete in the late-era. Their arrows might not be effective against western heavy cav/inf, but they will slaughter their pikes and missile & gunpowder units. Their light infantry do equally well against those units. Khwarez has a couple of strong heavy cavalry units who are a match for western heavy cavalry and they will wipe out their heavy infantry easily. Horse archers are excellent artillery killers.
Their actually doesn't change that much, tactically, for eastern factions. The stuff that leads to victory in the early period will continue to do so in the late period. Heavy armor isn't everything

There are a couple that add units to Eastern Factions look in the submod thread. The reason why the Cumans and Kwarezmians don't have armies to confront factions in that era is that they were already destroyed over 200 years before the 16th century. As those 2 factions I would suggest reaching the campaign goals before then.

Yes, they where long gone before the late era. But I do think the Eastern unit rosters do need a bit more love, at least in terms of diversity and textures (look at Broken Crescent)
