    Default Issues with Settings.

    Hello all,

I just recently got a new desktop, including Napoleon Total War with: Specs as follows:

    Nvidia GTX 560
    Intel I5 2500 3.30 Ghz CPU.

I have all options available in the computer menu, but when I set everything to maximum, I still get sprites and poor unit detail when I zoom out, despite having Unit Detail set to high. Most noticeably is the white seam that appears on the backs on units at 50 feet (in game) zoom.

Game engine got you. If you can figure how to do the sprites, you can mod it.

    Welcome to TWC.

    I don't know how.

I mean my system can honestly play the game maxed out, so why doesn't it show up as such?

Because I have set to maximum/ultra.

Because the game is programmed after a certain distance to turn into 2D sprites. It does not make a difference what the computer's specs are. It does it to all of them. This is as old as RTW. This part has not changed.

No, it is not sprites per say,

here some screens to help show you what I mean:

    In the attachments.

I have the settings set to maximum, but when I zoom out even a little, the quality goes from grade A to pure crap.

It is with sprites, but there not supposed to "draw down" like that on Maximum? I can understand sprites being when I am completely zoomed out, but only a short distance away.

    Unfortunately, yes.
