Lucius Furius Philus
Hailing from the Furii, one of the most ancient and noble of the Roman families, dating back to time immemorial, Lucius Furius Philus has emerged on the political scene of Rome after serving in the Roman Army, as befitting the cursus honorum. Lucius served with the rank of military Tribune in the Legio I Italica, and was present for the military action seen recently in Spain. After having been discharged from the Roman Army, Lucius Furius Philus returned to his family estate to oversee affairs. His Uncle's untimely death left him as the nominal head of the Furii, as he far outranks his younger cousins.
Despite their ancient heritage, the Furii have seen better days. Upon hearing of the Gallic invasion of Italia, Lucius Furius Philus sold off the remnants of his family's land to raise troops to defend the Republic.
