    Default Alliance (likely and unlikely)

Have you ever made an alliance while playing your game and just dominated with them.
I made an unlikely alliance I begun a new game with Rhun but quickly made peace with Dale. I even gave them some money and form an alliance with them. I sacked 4 rebel settlements and I have Dale one. They got attacked by OofMm and called on Rhun for aid. I have them help sacked one OotMM settlement and have it to Dale. By now they love me. Dale went to war with Morodor and asked for aid well between us we killed Mordor so by turn 87 Mordor was done with and we slit the settlements between us. And unlikely alliance but it worked and we kicked some Orc butt.

Have you guys have any cool examples of alliance that worked for you both likely and unlikely or maybe it an alliance between 3 or 4 factions?

I usually kill every faction I am bordered with and screw lore
"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

As Gondor in 2.1, I once tried to give Rohan a chance to breathe and recover by allying with Isengard. It lasted for 10-20 turns, but then Rohan attacked Isengard and went back to getting their butt handed to them by Uruks. If that were ever to happen again, I would probably ally with Isengard so the two infantry powers can march forward to victory in Middle Earth.

That would be a scary sight if those two formed an alliance

In my game as Rohan, I made it a point to find all the "good" civs and make alliances, and to go to war with all "evil" civs. Only Dale spurred by intial offer, but they eventually game around. As a result, I have great relations with all good factions. I am at turn 300 and all has worked very well, except I am going to have a hard time getting 40 settlements. Well at least evil will be destroyed.

I once send all HighElves to Valinor, playing Eriador/Arnor myself.
But that wasn't out of "really" bad will, but because they attacked the silvan elves and dwarves out of no reason.
so they disturbed my beloved "good against evil"-game which it was until then.
and therefor they had to pay.

In my current game as Dale I made Rhun my vassal... some turns later they attacked Harad and dragged Mordor into a war with them...

Now Mordor and Rhun are beating down Harad

Meh, Harad always pisses Mordor off in my games hahaha

But the best Alliance I made was my Orcs of the North Pact I was Gundabad, kept a treaty ONLY with OotMM, and took out the entire western half of the north (HE, W. Dwarves, Eriador) with indirect help from Isengard. Didn't form an alliance with old Saruman because I thought he would get blitzed by Rohan early game. I turned out to be dead wrong as somehow the focused their attention to the high Elves and completely decimate all but Forlond
Then Eriador sent the Gandalf-stack to kick them out and focus back on Rohan While I took the shattered remains of North West, I kept a warg half stack to support OotMM from the Dwarves, defending Dain's Halls from each invasion. It worked out perfectly, the dwarves would attack the city while my wargs smashed their rear
Later in the game, the dwarves managed to take teh grey mountains and even took Orc outpost (near Coldfells) and Goblintown D: I made my invasion stack (since I owned all the West and Isengard was busy with Gondor -Rohan fell at this point- and Mordor) and took the rest of the dwarf settlements. The Silvans were conquered in a sneak attack by Dale and the OotMM and I decided to have an all out war with the most powerful faction at the time This was my only game where Dale succeeded in, well, becoming a formidable power xD I kept Laketown and everything above the River, while giving and letting the OotMM have the lower provinces. It was then that I made a peace treaty with Rhun to form our Axis of Evil! Rhun was abandoned by Harad and Mordor apparently, and I guess they wanted some revenge, because after giving them back Rhomen and Khuvagod, they almost immediately went to war with Harad. This gave my Orcs of the North Pact the advantage to wipe the floor with Isengard, Mordor, and Gondor who were engaged in the strangest three way fight in which Minas Tirith would trade hands every 2-3 turns

I'll never forget that game In the end, I had all the north and west all the way to Isengard and Hornburg (including teh Gondor regions). OotMM Took the center down to Pelagrir and Ithilien area, and (with some help from me) Rhun owned the East (from Khuvagod and their capital) and all of Harad. Mordor was split between Rhun and OotMM.

Sorry for the long post, I got carried away remembering it all

I just always keep loyal to the Lore and if the AI doesn't (like the high elves attacking me when i'm playing as Eriador) I use the forced diplomacy submod

I usually do play according to 'lore'. But, I see nothing wrong with playing against it. Comes down to personal taste/preference there.

Though one funny thing was this in my last MOS 2.1 campaign: OoTMM turned the SE into Vassals and they went to war with ME together. Only to be decimated by my Gondorian Armies whom owned everything South of the Anduin lol

I was playing Gondor and Arnor with Baron's submod in 3.1. I destroyed Mordor and Harad. I took parts of OoG and OotMM. By the time the evil alliance was defeated, I owned 1/2 the map.

Rohan and HE and me took out Isengard. Rohan was so strong that they attacked the SE. I supported Rohan. And went to take out Rhun with the help of Dale and Dwarves.

I then attacked HE with Arnor. I have never fought such hard battles. The HE are incredibly strong and my Arnor armies had Phyrric victory after another but my industry was too much for them.

Since Rohan took out the SE and I the HE. Just the Dwarves and Dale was left. I had so much money I bought the western Dwarf provinves without declaring war. Rohand and I then proceeded to declare war on the Dwarves and Dale...then I had a game crash that could not be fixed.

If we did take out the last foes, me and Rohan would have duked it out. I was looking forwarf to fighting the horse lords with mh swan knight elite armies which I was getting ready to attack Edoras.

My Recent game I as the dwarves did all could to form an alliance with Rhun the two of us have wage ear against Mordor taking several of Thier settlement. It's hard if your a "good" faction trying to get an "evil" faction to make alliance with you and take out other evil factions. We did also wipe out Dale.

allying with alle the good guys. Killing those who oppose us Sadly for Eriador/Arnor, they died early, so i (HE) had to revenge them by taking out Gundabad and Misty orcs... Now the dwarves attacked me, but they wont last long
