    Default Carthago Reforms?

    Hi Guys,

just started a new campaign, playing RTR VII with the hotfix and script activated.
I control Carthago Nova, Gadir and Carthago and I am at war against the romans since 5 turns. But I still got no message telling me I get the Punic Reforms to play with better Lybio-phenician Hoplites and also African Infantry.
I was wondering am I missing something? Or is that a known bug?
    Help!

I do know that there are still some script problems. I thought that the Punic Reforms should be working, though

    Thanks for your answer.
Yeah I really can't get what is missing to get that reform. Maybe I should wait a bit longer? Might trigger after a while...
Again thanks for answering, even if I still don't know

Try to conquer more of southern Iberia and just wait a few turns. It might trigger

I tried a new campaign with Carthago. Got at war pretty early against Rome.
Conquered all africa and almost all the Iberian Peninsula. I have Gadir, Carthago-Nova, Carthago.
Still nothing's happening, wondering if I'll get my African Infantery one day

I find this very strange, for in my own Epirote campaign I'm fighting against Punic reform troops

EDIT: just realise that there have been some changes to the script since 1.1a, I might unofficially upload the current version. I'll contact my fellow triumvirs about it

It has been fixed, we want to release Patch 3 really soon now. The only thing I want sorted out is a little Fog of War issue after the opening battles, but then we're ready to put up an installer

Ok...I downloaded RTR VII. Great Mod, really enjoying my Carthage campaign. Great difficulty. No reform troops...I have the cities needed and at war with Rome. Noticed I hadn't installed patch 2a or the hotfix. Trying to install now. Will that fix the problem with no reform troops? Problem with Patch 2a...I downloaded the file and placed it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rome Total War Gold, Since I am a steam user. The download showed in the folder but asked what program to open with? I tried notepad? How do I extract the files? Thanks for all the help.

Downloaded 7-zip to "extract here". Worked flawlessly. Now I just hope that the script will work. I would hate to play another 8-12 hours just to have to restart.

I think that that reform was working in the last patch. It's been overhauled now, though, as it was a bit lame

I remember getting my Carthago reforms after only a very few turns... probably because of my crazy expansion plan (like landing in Italy inside the first 10 turns ).

It led to that epic Genoa battle I posted on here before (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...2#post11511622) Other than that I just expanded in Africa and Spain, but that must have been enough for the reforms.

Well since the conditions are just to capture Carthago Nova and be at war with Rome, it isn't too difficult to fulfill them

Touché It is really just conquering Carthago Nova then because the Romans can't resist to attack Corsica right after the campaign's start.

Exactly It's been changed so that a fair amount of Iberian expansion needs to take place now (ten or so Iberian settlements have to be captured).
