Barbarians piss me off

I've constantly taken a single settlement on the south east side of France and it keeps on revolting. I've destroyed the cultural structures, built my own and have a full garrison army in there and exterminated the populace. What can I do to restore order and make sure they dont revolt against me?

Change the general maybe? Check if his traits are not actually increasing the public disorder.
And make sure you demolished temples and all that weird stuffs. Cause there are always like 2 buildings to it. Best is to DEMOLISH everything.

Thanks for the help, ill try using a different leader. Its so stupid but cause the carthaginians anf greeks are like, come in and the barbarians are like. Piss off!

Well, it sometimes happen that out of nowhere your general starts pissing off entire city. Keep an eye on each every turn

I figured out a great method. Once I capture a city, I build the arena and that helps keep public order aswell.

Well its obvious that to properly maintain a city at first, you need 1) demolish ALL of their buildings 2) full stack defending force with general 3) start building your own temples and such.

Yep, it is always a good idea to have a suitable general at the ready before taking any settelment, perticularly when the settlement is at a greater distance from your capital. Full stack of town watch at the ready also (if possible, recruit these from nearby cities that are suffering high population and low public order). Of course exterminating the population helps, and destroy all buildings. That's the protocol for maintaining civil order. Worked for me as far as Eblana (Ireland).
