Tech Help Please! NTW

Hey guys, i need some help please.

I have Napoleon Total War on the PC, installed via Steam. Sometimes after i click on the turn timer, or during battle, my game crashes. It exits out, says it is not responding, and too "end program". I have an AMD Athlon II X4 630 Processor 2.80 ghz 4 gig Ram (3,25 useable) in a 32bit O.S.

sorry guys im new haha,i was trying to find the technical help spot and i got frustrated and posted it wherever i was. next time i will post in the right spot. Also is Dxdiag Direct X? whats that mean?
