Confirm last 3 saves corrupt?

Crash on loading last 3 save games.

Have attached them.

EDIT: Can load the saves with Alexander.

Is it possible that accidentally playing with Alexander (guess I shouldn't have changed the EB (Alex) shortcut to that of EB) could make the saves incompatible with Rome?

You should be more detailed in your description.

At first you should make sure that all 1.2 fixes are properly installed and check if the right version number is showing in the main menu. Note that minimods aren't supported by the team.
Then, check the Frequently encountered issues and see if you can solve the crashes by yourself. Confirm that the crashes are repeatable.

If then the problem still occurs I'll check your files.

Seems my edit crossed with your post.

EB 1.2 + all hotfixes.

But I did reinstall Alexander and create a shortcut to run EB with it, yesterday.

RTW isn't savegame compatible with Alex, the way around it works with minor changes.
Best thing is to start a new fresh campaign...

I've continued the campaign under Alex. Should I be expecting trouble then?

If you fixed the immortal trait introduced by the Alex-engine, then no. Otherwise all FMs won't die outside of a battle.
