Early campaign won't start...

I installed SS 6.3 and the 6.4 patch, together with the 'Basileia ton Romaion' units sub-mod.
This sub-mod required the deletion of the rwm and events.dat+events.idx files.
When I start the game from Steam everything goes smoothly untill I've chosen the desired faction to play.
When I click on the 'start' button on the lower right corner of the screen, the game goes back to the menu.

What can I do?

Well, that isn't necessary anymore.
I solved the issue with some resetting of a few things.
Sorry for the inconvenience (damn, this is my second useless thread made in one week, what am I doing? ).
