    Icon5 Three questions...

    Hello all,

    How do I alter the starting funds of each faction?
    I have not been able to find anything that looks like starting funds so far. I would like to increase each factions starting funds by about a factor of 10 (or about 100,000 for France).

    Also, how do I take away units from factions?
    I would like to remove the ability of Native American factions to recruit Lancers and any artillery units. Historically, they never used either of the above unit types, whence I don't like them having that ability.

    Finally, How do I alter/improve the port (at either Brest or Marseille) in order to allow the French to build 4th Rate ships? Since both England and Spain can build 4th Rates (England) and Galleons (Spain), it is unfair that the best France can only build 6th Rates (Privateers if using AUM) at Brest.

    You need EsfEditor for that to edit the save game. There is a tutorial about this in the Tutorial section.

    You have to edit startpos.esf for this.

    you will need a db editor to remove the units from being recrutable,

    you'll need to find the 'units_to_exclusive_factions_permissions_table' find all of the units you ont want the factionsto hve, then change the 'True'to 'False'

    use esfeditor and just follow the amazing guide available on this forum to increase the level of the port. Easiest would be Brest, since it is a military port at gamestart and you don't want to have to many military ports in your home region early on (to allow more trade -> higher income)
