How do I alter the starting funds of each faction?
You need EsfEditor for that to edit the save game. There is a tutorial about this in the Tutorial section.
I have not been able to find anything that looks like starting funds so far. I would like to increase each factions starting funds by about a factor of 10 (or about 100,000 for France).
You have to edit startpos.esf for this.
Also, how do I take away units from factions?
I would like to remove the ability of Native American factions to recruit Lancers and any artillery units. Historically, they never used either of the above unit types, whence I don't like them having that ability.
I believe the same would apply.
