Authority glitch

My faction leader just died in my England campaign, and my current king has full authority. The turn before that he had only one authority, however, and when I looked at his traits and ancillaries, what he has actually adds up to be about negative three. Has this happened to anyone else before?

yeah its a bug, the game reads neg. authority as 10. can really mess up choosing an heir.
