Re: Is my launcher broken?
I figured the two main categories represent the DMUC part and the smaller mod part (Empire campagins).
Not really. It is all "DMUC." The Empire campaigns are merely the vanilla campaigns made compatible with DarthMod. Gameplay etc is exactly the same as with the DarthMod campaigns.
However, when I click for example on DMUC - Ultimate campaign, I get a menu interface which is identical to that of ETW, and when picking factions etc. there is no big difference either.
It should say DarthMod Ultimate Commander at the top of the main menu and have a different background video playing. If it does not you need to reset the scripts in the DMUC launcher options->diagnostics menu.
Now the strange part, when I click on Empire campaigns - Grand Campaign, I do get the Darthmod Ultimate Commander interface, with the old maps when choosing a faction. After many restarts I systematically wrote everything down, and came to the conclusion that it's mixed up: when clicking on the DMUC campaigns I only get the special maps and interface when I play the custom campaign.
The campaigns listed under "Empire Campaigns" are no different from the vanilla campaigns except that they have DarthMod unit sizes, AI benefits etc. The DarthMod Campaigns have different factions playable and some changes to starting positions.
So, I wanted to play a United Provinces game with all the extra's, what should I pick? I found out that if I just click the DMUC button, then Custom campaign, then I get what I want. Is that different at yours?
You get "all the extras" whatever DarthMod Campaign you select. You can play the United Provinces in the Ulimate and Ultimate Late Campaigns as well.
Also when I first started a campaign, I had like 30k starting money. Now I can't possibly get that starting amount, so I really fear my launcher has overwritten that particular file or seomething.. is that possible?
That is perfectly correct, the factions have been modded to have more money at the start.
