I've read the book, enjoyed it and really looking forward to this. Although the bit with the Train and him taking down a tree with one axe blow is not in the book

I despise Tim Burton but hold out hope that one day he'll adapt something and not make a utter pigs ear of it. Mainly because he gets big budgets so he has to get one right one day, maybe this is the one..

That's good news, I just saw his name and feared the worst...

I wonder how long it's gonna take before a republican candidate talks about him like that in a speech. "Let us remember Abraham Lincoln, who fought Vampires in order to free our country from Nazi Germany".

It looks quite grim for being a comedy, since I can't imagine something this ridicilous being anything other than a comedy.

Well I haven't seen it so I wouldn't know for sure, but I'd imagine it's a non-serious over the top action movie that isn't necessarily a comedy but is intentionally humorous because of the subject and the insane action.

Well it did start out as a parody trailer included with Grindhouse.

But on topic, any film Civil War related will be fun.

Future of Hollywood? It's based on a book that's in the same vein as Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It's not taking itself as a "serious" movie, and neither should you; it's supposed to be fun.
