Migration campaign with the Seleucids
I've been thinking about starting a migration campaign with the Seleucids. Mainly because I dont want to go to war and wipe out egypt so early b/c I always feel after I beat them I am pretty unstoppable and the game gets boring. I was wondering if anyone has tried this or if anyone has tips or suggestions for a migration campaign. I'm probably going to sell all my eastern cities and keep the one close to rhodes. Any ideas? Thanks.

Re: Migration campaign with the Seleucids
I did a migration to Brittania as well. I did it differently in that my last city was under siege as I captured Londinium. I was in massive debt and about 12 years of making small profits I managed to scrape together a force of Levy Pikes and militia hoplites and take Gaul. Probably the most fun I've had in a campaign.

Re: Migration campaign with the Seleucids
Havent decided yet. Was thinking about just extending west with my western most settlement and giving the others away or going to Carthage or Britain. I guess the first idea really wouldn't be a migration but would still be fun I think. Really just dont wanna have to take the east so early.

Re: Migration campaign with the Seleucids
My best idea for you to do a migration campaign would be to get as many troops and ships as possible early and launch two seperate fleets with armies on each, land one in spain on that Cartaginian settlement, and another on the other settlement right below it and work your way up from the one in spain and take Italy and work on the other to get to Egypt from the other direction and give them more time to build up.

Re: Migration campaign with the Seleucids
That was a great idea. One thing i find weird is that no one will take my old settlements even if i try to just give them away as a gift and egypt usually ends up taking most of them by force. Anyone know how the diplomacy cheat works or have any ideas. Last time i decided to raise the taxes sky high so they would hopefully rebel before someone started war against me to take the darn things. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Migration campaign with the Seleucids
well the force diplomacy thing is just force_diplomacy accept/decline (only use one of either accept or decline), but if you try to give as a gift ask for some money and the AI may accept them, personally I've never tried to give away a settlement yet.

Re: Migration campaign with the Seleucids
Force diplomacy is disabled in the console.
You have to download the FD script in order to do so.
