Default How to avoid game crush while loading siege battle (solution)

I was made angry because of frequent crashes while loading siege battles during AI turn, especially the ones at custom settlements. I realised that crash can be avoided, if you don't save game and end turn after last movement of any of your units is done. Just make your turn, save the game and than move some unit out and back in any settlement and only then press "end turn" button. No crashes after that!

    Maybe it can help someone.

Don't those crashes have more to do with your pc's preformance? I mean, on my old crappy pc I had crashes quite often, but since I have my new laptop I've never had a crash.

Anyways, I don't see how saving the game could affect this

I have old but good bettlestation, believe me. And as I said - expierienced no crushes after moving unit after save. Maybe it's connected with autosave, dunno, but I know for sure, it's not the only issue in M2:TW with saving the game. Just remember the chevron upgrades that doesn't work if game is saved after putting unit in the slot.

I am not sure how the things are in TA but if savegaming in vanilla could affect quality of retrained units, why cannot it make/avoid crashes as well?

What do you mean with 'quality'? Experience?

    Yes, its comonly known issue.

EDIT: I don't like where this is going - as I said it helped me in my situation. Maybe its just me - I have Russian localization of the game (3x cheeper and I know Russian lang well) but without latest patch (Russians are lazy). So its untypical situation but maybe someone has similar and can try out. Thats all.

If it has something to do with autosave, couldn't you just disable autosave?

*Spasm* Please change all crushes to crashes, it's giving me convulsions looking at it (I know your from Russia, but I can still ask you to edit your post and fix it ).

Good of you to share what worked for you with others, though it's looking like it's more of a solitary issue your having.

Auto-Saves and Quick-Saves are linked with CTD's when there are allot of Scripts, why Auto-Save has been disabled.

1st of all, I'm not from Russia, and the 2nd - it's very hard to believe that some misspelling is giving someone "convulsions".

I get them sometimes. Usually from people mixing up "effect" and "affect". And these are native English speakers...

Also people who use "malus" instead of "penalty".

    Must...crush...them...

Oops, I mean crash. Sorry, BabyLure.

    No, wait...

Because, when people don't use grammar properly, their statements and questions can easily get misinterpreted

Made "crushes" to "crashes", hope it's OK now. Thanks guys for backuping, still proper language is gain of course. I was a bit upset because BabyLure called me Russian. Just now in Latvia Russians catched up popular vote for Russian as 2nd official institutional language, but it's certain that NO will win by roughly 80% vs 20%. It's disturbing and derogatory popular vote however, and it's going to extensively exacerbate the relations of Latvians and Russian loyalists against Russian chovinists.

my game became unstable when I had been playing for a long time and had many saved games - try deleting as many of your old save games from your current campaign as possible
