Does anyone find it frustrating that even though you ambush the enemy, you can't see them while you deploy your troops? One time, I deployed, eager to slice them apart, but they happened to be much farther away then I planned.

its annoying that they send all of there army to the singular unit you are ambushing with

Yes I hate not being able to see the enemy at all... They could at least give us a general idea of where they are deployed...

..... I've always been able to see the enemy army when I ambush them? Or is the ashes of all the burning Romans getting to me?

Somehow i don't believe you were succesfully ambushing since when you do
it correct there will be no doubts about where's the enemy to be found.

yeah, IIRC I could see them too when I was ambushing them (they were deployed in a narrow column)

Keep in mind that you can fail the ambush.The result? Not seeing the enemy formation.
