Buying a seafront mansion with a 1.5 acre "carbon footprint" seems kind of odd if he actually believes his own bs about rising sea levels and such: http://www.examiner.com/entertainmen...on-socal-coast

"Do as I say, not as I do", the tagline of the fashionable environmental movement in the US. I have nothing but respect for the people who go all out trying to be eco friendly by reducing waste, recycling, etc. He is not one of those people.
What I find hilarious is that people will defend him by saying that regardless of what he does he still brought attention to the environment and that most of his holdings use mostly renewable energies.
Even if the mansion uses renewable energies and is highly efficient it's still a massive footprint on that area.
Plus, does he really need a 9.9 million dollar mansion?
Maybe he has had a think and realises it's all a crock...
Buying property on the beach doesnt make him a hypocrite. If he started an industrial plant and started polluting, well that would make him a hypocrite, but not buying property. I love how climate change naysayers will point out Al Gores properties as proof there is no climate change. His properties (excluding this one prob) are all energy self-sufficient with renewable energy.
Besides has Al-Gore ever campaigned against mansions?
It's sea level (i thought the oceans were going to rise and swallow us all due to the melting ice bergs!@@!) and probably uses more power than all of East L.A.
Who? Not me, i merely point out that he has made aI love how climate change naysayers will point out Al Gores properties as proof there is no climate change.of $ and influenced millions of impressionable young people peddling a belief he apparently doesn't take too seriously or thinks only us plebes need to be scared about.
Did you read about the electricity consumption of his Nashville properties? His properties (excluding this one prob) are all energy self-sufficient with renewable energy.
They're not using it as proof that there is no climate change, in fact many of them believe there is climate change just that it's not man made.I love how climate change naysayers will point out Al Gores properties as proof there is no climate change.
They use Al Gore's properties and jets as proof that he's a massive hypocrite.
He never claimed he was Jerry Brown, Ralph Nader or St. Francis of Assisi.

Al Gore is a modern day L. Ron Hubbard. He uses his movement for financial gain, quite clearly.

No, I sincerely doubt that. Scientology is not climate change.
The theory itself isn't, but the man-made disaster and stupid eco subculture and tax and cap certainly is comparable to the typical sometimes of 'adhere to my ways and humanity will be saved' characteristic of cults.
The eco crowd takes it way to seriously while ignoring other more pressing issues.

I'm not kidding - that comparison is highly insulting.

Attacking the person is very convincing instead of attacking the argument directly. Right?

He is a shyster who deserves to be attacked.
