    Default Unit Recruitment and TPY

    Hi all,
    Recently started playing SS6.4 again, and I was just wondering... I haven't tried it with anyone else, but when I started an early era campaign as England, I recruited some archers, and was then told that it would be 8 turns until I could recruit them again? 8 turns? That seems way more then it should be. Is there any way to edit a script or something to reduce that number? At most I feel 2 maybe 3 turns would be enough. Which brings me to my second question: Is there any way to increase the number of turns per year? It just seems unrealistic to take 8 years between recruiting a new unit. Thanks!

    I may not be the best person to answer this, but i'll give it a crack.

    During the 6.4 install procedure, did you enable Real recruitment ? that might explain why your recruiting intervals are so long. As for TPY, there are some sub-mods that do that, but from my experience using them can often lead to undesirable side effects.

    I think those links will only further slow replenishment rates inline with 2 tpy.

    If your problem as you say is that you feel the length of training time is unrealistic then read about rr mod in the submods section. Some soldiers were in training since they came of age and it is this that the rr mod is representing.

    Mod the EDU and EDB if you want shorter recruitment times.
