My opponent (leper) chose Rome (Julii), I rushed through and ...
I charged-through with my 6 cataphracts and routed all of his 6 urban cohorts (g/g upped)
The opponent, leper ragequited and he (maybe she) blocked me >_<
Geez, I just love Armenia

In all seriousness rome's weakness is a lack of effective anti cata-chariot measures. Other than that they have everything.

Simply not true. Spartans, armoured hoplites, bronze shield, silver shield, royal pikemen, phalanx pikemen in the larger units will all obliterate catas, not to mention the fact that head hunting virgins are better cav for value too.
Lacking a true anti cav unit, Rome are weak on non hill camping maps to any faction with heavy cav/chariot superiority. They get destroyed by skirmishers.

ha catas can kill pikes with no problem except for spartans which they still kill and head hunting maidens are an exception to my list

Not neccessarily. I have won cavalry engagements against 6 g/g cata's when I was using 3 g/g numidian camel riders and 3 g/g long shields, and none of my units routed. I believe I have the replays' saved to back my statement up from two seperate occasions if you don't believe me.

It's various mixturing around with the buttons like alt+attack and backspace etc to get your pikemen to get those pikes (+16 attack vs cavalry) out again after having switched to swords after been rammed by cavalry.

PLUS, if you use microing properly, then, it should do just fine

If you want serious online games then you have to expect your oponents know
how to upgrade their units.
