Well then, im not sure. Maybe the battle of Striling bridge, or bannock burn. I dont know much about my countries history, so its hard for me to say. And it also depends on what you define as some-ones country, like how far back you want to go, and does this include your countries native peoples?

Go as far back as the modern nation existed (so for Brits that would be 1066, Frenchmen when the Western Frankish Empire began, etc)...

I think for Britain it is probably the Battle of Britain. I can't think of any better ones right now
Oh youre a scotsman (had a dumb moment when I forget what Bannockburm was)...
For Americans I would probably say Manilia Bay where we destroyed the Spanish Fleet, and lost no sailors to enemy fire...

Hard to tell.
Probably te best known is Tannenberg 1410 over the Teutonic Order.
One of the most devastating in losses caused would be Kircholm 1605 against Swedes losses: Poles 100 dead from 3000 initially, Swedes 7000-9000 dead from 11 500 initially.
One the most suprising and in fact legendary would be Samossierra 1808 around 200 Polish cavalrymen broke and shattered 3000 Spanish.
One of the least known would be Kluszyn 1610 - around 6500 Poles vs. 35 000 Russians and Swedes.
One of the most important is celebrated even today - Warsaw 1920 - over Bolshevik hordes.
Personally I recently liked very much very little known at Szklow in 1654 - 2500 men vs. 20 000 Russians.
Hard to say... In addition most of those can be called Polish-Lithuanian-Belorussian-Ukrainian-Jewish-German
since Poland was multinationla for most of its history.

Maybe lets say Tatar victories aswell?German win Grunwald? Maybe Battle of Mokra was German victory because Interwar Poland had a German minority. And this Polish Winged Hussar is Polish-Lithuanian-Belorussian-Ukrainian-Jewish-German-Tatar Winged Hussar. Germans, Russians, and Austrians took Poles to fight for their army in WWI, that makes all their victories Polish ones? Whatever French won in WWI were Turkish ones? Your Last Sentence was misleading. It is apparent that Grunwald, Kircholm, Kluszyn, and Szklow were Polish Lithuanian Victories, and Samosseria and Warsaw Polish victories.
In addition my friend, you mislead history.

Battle of Midway, June 4-7, 1942. US victory against overwhelmingly superior Japanese forces turns the tide in the Pasific during WWII. The Japanese lost 4 fleet carriers, the US 1 fleet carrier. US industrial capacity would soon replace the lost material.

Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers
For Canada, i am leaning towards Vimy Ridge.

For Scotland, it would have to be Bannockburn.

EYLAU
FRIEDLAND

Britains had afew good ones. The most important were probably during WW2 so ill say Battle of Britain or during the D-day landings (Allied). Waterloo was a British win, anything after the Treaty of Union (1707) means it was British.
