HUNGARY is in the game !

It is Transylvania, but it was Hungarian at that time in almost every way - culture, military, large part of population etc.

About Czechs - there is still space, maybe emerging faction ? But it depends what the creators of the mod want ( I am only advisior) and how much inforamtion about Bohemian army we can find - there is no reason to add them without anything they can have.
I made very extensive research about Czech military at that time and I found only two units for PMTW mod - musketeers and Dragoons ( second already from exiles...).

If you have something to add please do it it surely will help.

You have to ask Hody about military. He knows a lot more about this than I do.

One thing that Czechs contributed and Ottomans and Polish adapted, was the use of warwagons. In fact, when Swedish crown invaded Poland, Czech mercenaries who mannes warwagons helped repel the invasion. Though I am not sure that these can be implemented. Czech mercenaries abounded in European conflicts. They were recruited for their knowledge and experience with gun powder armaments. They have made a name for themselves during the Hussite wars.

But yeah, Hody knows a lot more. He is on the Chiv team.

Sounds promising. I just hope it finishes in time before MTWII comes out. I bet it will take most of the RTWer's attention here(including me of course). Anyway, I salute you for that project. *salutes*

No for sure, Czech mercenaries were famous in XVth century - in XVIth and especially XVIIth there was noone of them using any warwagons.
In Poland they didn't appear since late medieval and last wars vs. Teutonic Order. The only Czechs who were involved in XVIIth century wars in Poland or more in the east were in Swedish army - exiles after the defeat at White Mountain 1621.

Warwagons must be in game Cossacks relied on those and surely reached the very peak of 'warwagon military art', Poles used them with great success as well so these are indeed essential.

Amazing!!!Great work!! Will be giving this a download 100%!!!...but
Why isn’t the Order of St. John (The Knights of Malta) a faction? in 1565 they Defeated the Ottoman Empire in the Great Siege of Malta (even when the knights were outnumbered by 1/8) which gave the Ottoman Empire her Decline and the Order was remarked as one of the Strongest military powers in Europe till 1700s.The Orders Navy was also every strong and it took part in all the major navy Battles in the curse of her rule. The Order still exists to this day.
This is why I think The Order should be a Faction

First - the map doesn't include Malta.
Second - the activity of the Order was limited generally to the Tunesia/Algeria region except the battle at Lepanto in 1571 and small involvement in the war for Morea around 1698.
This is all I have found about the Knighta after the siege of Malta.

And I am sorry, but it was not a power of that time, a minor player on the edge of Europe mostly and it shouldn't be included.
BTW THe Knights surely were not responsible for the decline of the Ottoman empire, the siege of Malta was important defeat, but without Lepanto would not mean much.

The Knights shouldn't be in the mod, I doubt there is any reason to include them.

Actually, Teutonic wars and the battle of Grunwald was when Czechs started to get involved as mercenaries. Jan Zizka reinforced the Polish army on that battle. After Hussite wars, many exiled and were employed as mercenaries all over Europe. This created a crop of experienced mercenaries for decades to come. After White mountain, another wave of Czech mercenaries spread over Europe. This period was full of such activity.

Yes, I know. Still the mod starts in 1569 and Bohemia might be only emerging rebel faction.
I know that the Czech mercenaries were even serving in Venetian army, yet the old days of Hussites were over.

I hope that MTW2 will give reasonable recreation of the Czech army, definetely the best army in central europe in XVth century.
But this mod is about something else and stars over 120 years after the greatest Czech victories.

It is a good date overall - for example battle at Lepanto was fought just 2 years after, but the answer is yes since the starting date in the mod is chosen because of Poland.

    Beautiful banners fellas.
I didn't know that the "Nogay and Kakheti" are also included on this wonderful mod.
I have been following this mod for a long time now on the ORG. Keep up the good work, everything looks great.

Is there any chance that Denmark might be playable faction?
They currently have 20 factions. I'm sure there is room for 1 more faction (21 total).
