    Default Problem with rebels

I made a script causing byzantine rebellion by shadowing faction. Unfortunately i have a little problem with it. If i use command
    PHP Code:
    siege_settlement Andronicus DucasConstantinoplemaintain
the rebelling general appearing and starting to siege the city, but after the end of turn he becomes a rebel.
So i added to generals army one unit of catapults and changed the command to this:
    PHP Code:
    siege_settlement Andronicus DucasConstantinopleattack
After this change the general appear and attacking the city, but if i click the button "retreat", the turn ending and general becomes a rebell.
So i'd like to ask if there exist any method to force computer to keeping the siege without changing general of shadowed faction to general of rebells?

Does the shadow faction exist at the time that this script is running? If not then that explains everything since if a faction is dead, all of its generals become rebel generals. My guess your spawning an army for a faction that does not exist on the campaign map so if it does not have a settlement by the end of the turn the army changes to a rebel army, general included.

So there is no tricks to resolve this problem? I simply was wondering if there is any trick to combine the attributes of shadow faction and horde.

This has nothing to do with shadow factions or horde faction or a combination of the two. It has to do with the fact that you spawned a general + army for a faction that is currently dead.

    OK - maybe another way
Is there any tricks to make faction alive without its own settlements? i think about something similar to horde factions. General of horde faction can siege settlement so long how he need to build siege machines and prepare attack.

For a faction to exist w/out a settlement it must be set to horde in the descr_sm_factions. You can have a faction set to horde and as the shadow faction.

I know it. I only don't know if there exist any method to change status of faction by script. If it would be possible to set the faction as horde before siege will starting and change it back after it.

No there isn't, a faction is not alive in the campaign unless it a) has a settlement or b) does not have a settlement and is currently in a horde position. You can force the first, but you cannot force the second.
