Hiding Units
So I was trying out the new Chaos Dwarves today, and I noticed that the enemy seemed to come at my Sneaky Gits, which were sitting completely motionless a bit away from my main army. This got me wondering about the hide ability. Does it work at all against AI? If so, what are good strategies to use it?
I should probably also say that I haven't played a lot of Vanilla MTW, I bought the game just to play CoW, so pointers towards vanilla strategy guides would also be good.

Re: Hiding Units
Yes it works against AI but once AI gets close enough it can see your units. Your units have a little icon showing when they are hidden or not. Often the AI sends units to flank you and it seems they are coming right for your hidden units, other times the AI did not see the hidden unit at first but then one of its units discovers the hidden unit and it sends a unit to attack. Hiding is most useful for cavalry hidden on the flanks but sometimes hidden archers do alot of damage as well especially with an infantry of cavalry guard.

Re: Hiding Units
Just hide your units far away on the flanks, so far that the flanking enemy troops won't see them. When they are commited to attacking you, backstab.
