I cant save either (and i need help to completely uninstall this crap)

Ok, im writing in pure frustration, my problem is, i cant make a save in napoleon total war, i doesnt matter if i try in napoleons campaigns, in coallition campaign or in darthmods 2.1 campaign.

So this is what ive been doing:
1. i installed ntw and steam patched it up to v1.3
2. i then installed darthmod
3. i played the game and everything worked, except that i couldnt...yes save the game!

4. I uninstalled darthmod (using the instructions in the darthmod forums)
5. I uinstalled ntw with windows "add/remove" feature

6. Installed ntw and dartmod again, same thing, cant save..ok nice
7. Uinstalled ntw through steams "delete local game content"

8. Installed ntw again without darthmod
9. Tried to play, and yes i can play, but i cant still save or autosave. And the unit sizez are still very big for being vanilla ie line inf has 320 men on unit scale small???

10. Got angry and tried to search the world wide web for tips

11. Tried to "verify the integrity of the game cashe" well it found one file being ed and replaced it (steam downloaded something quick) Tried to play and save, nooo i didnt work.

12. Uinstalled ntw. Got agry, dranks some coffea.
13 Installed the game again, this time through just downloading 22 gb from steam instead for installing through my disc. Verified the integrity again, it failed, again. Still line inf 320 men strong also..


You see what im going through? Can somebody please help me to completely uinstall ntw and darthmod, so i actually can make saves in this game again???

Can save a savegame in a vanilla campaign?

The last time I read one of these was after Vista was released and Mom would not this player log in as Administrator on her computer, hence no save capability.

no i couldnt save a game in vanilla campaign, but now the problem is resolved..luckely

well if i remember correctly, i did uninstalled the game through steam, and i took a look in my appdata and if something where left behind i deleted it too. Then later, instead for using my ntw retail disc, i downloaded the game from steam and installed it. Not sure if i did something more? I was just surprised that it actually worked!

I'm just curious how members solve these things and hopefully help the next member with the input. Thank you. Enjoy playing.
