Could a Toshiba Satellite L735D-S3102 run Medieval 2 and Kingdoms as well as earlier games?

Sorry if this should be posted somewhere else. But I'm thinking of buying a cheap laptop for just playing RTW and M2TW as well as just being portable. And if it could run it, would it be lag free, even if I played TATW? Sorry if I shouldn't have posted this here, and thanks.

They're both old games so most systems should be able to run it on low/medium at the least. Also, you'll get better answers if you post the specs for the laptop.

The graphics card on that should be ok for low to medium settings, but M2TW is a fairly processor intensive game...and that cpu isn't the most powerful out there. AI turn times will be long with any mod that has a lot of campaign AI scripting (long as in minutes...probably several minutes each turn). But you should be able to play.

This is probably the wrong place to be asking this though...

If you consider buying a laptop for games, it really pays off to look around what you can get for your budget. It can pay off quite a lot (I paid €600 for a i7 quad core 2Ghz, 6GB RAM laptop with a GEforce GT 540M graphics card, which is enough to play TATW (and also stuff like skyrim) on highest graphics without even a little lag.)

Anyways, for earlier I would recommend a laptop with a fast dual-core processor (2-3 Ghz) (avoid quad-cores though, as medieval 2 and rome can only use one core) and a reasonable amount of RAM (4 GB is certainly enough, more RAM won't do a lot) A good graphics card is also quite important.

Thanks all! Well after a bit of thought instead of a laptop I think I'll buy an Alienware X51 because I already have a computer for not gaming and portability isn't too much of an issue.

    Here's the graphics card: 1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 545
    and the processor: Intel® Core™ i3-2120 3.3GHz (3MB Cache) with Hyper-Threading Technology
    Should do just fine right?
On a side note, how do you edit posts?
    Thanks again

    That would certainly do
With such a system you'll most likely be able to play M2TW on highest graphics without lag

You can't until you have 25 of them.

it would probably run it just fine on large settings. my Satellite L305-S5885 can run it well and its pushing 4 years old now.
