RS2 Steam "Can't find CD-Rom"

Hey folks. Trying to install this wonderful mod on my computer. I'm using Steam and followed the instructions as per told in the downloading thread, have double checked them trice and can be certain that it's not the problem. Whenever I try to load Rome: Total War with the adjusted settings it immediately sends me a pop-up and says that it Can't Find CD-Rom, Please insert and restart application. I downloaded the torrent version of the mod and have not used any sort of CD. Would appreciate some help if there's anyone who knows what the problem is. Thanks!

Are you clicking the steam checkbox on the launcher?

I was actually clicking Rome: Total War in the Steam menu. Maybe that was the problem?

Though I just tried it with the check mark but now I'm getting a large error screen listing where the program files are located. It's in Program 86x, do I need to move it? Will that cause error's for steam? I'm also still getting the message a couple seconds after the new error. Thanks for the reply.

With Steam I think it's best to not move any underlying program.

Personally, I installed Steam itself into a folder other than the 'program files' folders. So, all my Steam games as all my other games are kept away from those folders.

Moving steam games is not that hard tbh, there was a thread in the basement about it recently, I'll try and dig it out.

Maybe not hard, but it sure messes with a lot of stuff.

@master can you give us the exact install path? We may be able to help you without you making any changes. I think

Install path? Umm...Download Torrent > Copied the 4 folders from Winrar into the SteamApps folder > Installed RS2 into R:TW folder in steam.

Should I be loading the game from the Steam page or from the Launcher folder?
